monsterpump_smallAccording to the Muscle and Strength Blog Cyto Sport have just released some new products to compliment Monster Mass and Monster Milk. The new products include a waxy maize starch powder, amino acid blend and pre-workout supp.

Here are the three new one’s I’m talking about:

I have tried Monster Milk and Monster Mass and love them both and this new line of Monster supplements looks pretty promising too. As was said on the M&S blog, this “Monster Family” would make an excellent stack. I’d definitely recommend it for those loking to gain size and muscle, it would be a good stack for ectomorphs.

If you have tried Monster Pump, Monster Amino or Monster Maize please leave your feedback in the comments. I’d like to know how they taste and especially how the Monster pump is as a pre-workout supplement (it’s $10 cheaper than SuperPump, Black Powder and No-Xplode)

Update: I noticed they have an Monster Pump Reviews page over at 4SR, no reviews posted as yet. I’ll be keeping an eye on that one.

Muscle and Strength is selling the Muscle Gauge Protein Blend and Muscle Gauge Pure Protein Isolate at very very low prices and with free shipping. This is an awesome deal. Check out the Muscle and Strength Store or click the banner below for more details. It’s time to stock up I reckon!

Have you ever heard of protein sludge? You might have heard of it, or heard bodybuilders talk about making it. A good friend of mine recently sent me the following video. It’s SciVation’s president Marc Lobliner showing you how to easily make protein sludge! Of course there are tons of ways you can make protein sludge, I’ve probably heard at least a dozen different ways!

Here’s a video to get you started! It might get your mind thinking of ways you can mix things up and invent your own protein sludge! Actually, if you have any sludge recipes of your own please share them in the comments at the bottom of this time. I’d love to hear them!

Money is tight for a lot of us right now and if you watch the nightly news report, it’s not going to get better in the near future. If you’re like me, you don’t have as much extra cash right now to spend on bodybuilding supplements. So I’ve written this quick guide up that will show you the best value for money (in my opinion & research) in all the popular bodybuilding supplement categories. The idea is that if you’re open to switching brands and maybe switching types of products, you might be able to save some extra cash in these times.

The supplements below are the cheapest or best value for money in their category! If you build your supplement stack from the list below you could save quite a bit of cash on what you’re using now.

isolate2Check out this new (or not so new?) protein powder - Ultimate Nutrition Protein Isolate, made from 100% wheat protein isolate. This is a protein source I have never come across before. I have see pea and soy protein, but never wheat.

Generally, plant forms of protein do not have the superior amino acid profile that animal sources do. I was surprised at how solid UN’s wheat protein isolate product. Check it out:

Not getting the results you want from weight training? Nine times out of ten it’s got something to do with what you eat, how how you train! Most lifters place so much importance on sets, reps, drop sets, negatives, routines etc etc but totally leave their diet out of the picture! It should be done the other way around, get your diet and nutrition plan zoned in and then hit the gym.

Without the right diet for weight training you’re going to limit your results severely! If you don’t have the right nutrition to back up your intense workout routine you will not gain. In fact, you could actually LOSE MUSCLE through catabolism.

I was browsing through my favorite online supplement store last night and I came across a (what I think is new?) protein powder from Optimum Nutrition called Pro Complex. Pro Complex is actually a blend of 8 different types of protein, is super high in amino acids, and have more glutamine than most other protein powders I’ve seen. Is this the ultimate protein source?

This is just a quick post.

After reading loads of information online and talking to a few other guys who have tried it, I thought I’d give the No-Xplode/Cellmass stack. It’s been a while since I’ve taking Nitric Oxide, and I’ve never tried Cellmass before. I was very skeptical, but I have to admin, whoa, my lifts have gone up A LOT since I got on this stack.

I’m taking 1.5 scoops of No-Xplode 30 mins before my workout and 1 scoop of Cellmass straight after my workout. I follow with a whey protein/waximaize shake about 15 mins after that.

This is the start of my 4th week and I’m really impressed the results.

I get a lot of emails from confused weight trainers who know a lot about lifting weights, but not a lot about building a good weight training diet/supplements program to back it up. When answering emails I have often used my diet program as an example of a good well rounded muscle growth plan.

So I am going to post a sample slice of my daily weight training diet routine, including the supplements that I take as well. This is simply meant to be an example that you can build on to create your own diet plan.

I try a lot of supplements, especially protein powders. I like to try out what mixes good, what tastes good and what gives you the most bang of your buck. I have tried dozens of protein powers over the years, probably quite a few you haven’t tried! So I thought I’d post some of them up in case you might want to give them a go.

All these protein powders are decent value for money and taste good, I wouldn’t post ones that I didn’t like! These are all whey protein products, not weight gainers etc. If you have any comments or have tried any of these let me know in the comments at the bottom of the page!
